The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that there are no intentions to abolish withdrawals from Employee Capital Plans (PPKs). It emphasized that the funds saved in PPKs are the individual property of the saver.
„In light of certain recent publications, we wish to clarify that the Ministry of Finance does not foresee any modifications regarding the removal of the ability to withdraw funds from Employee Capital Plans,” stated the Ministry of Finance in a release.
„The funds accumulated within PPK are the personal assets of the saver, and as such, they may be accessed at any point,” the ministry further noted.
The Ministry of Finance also mentioned that all participants in Employee Capital Plans „are entitled to withdraw funds through the designated withdrawal procedure, which does not necessitate forgoing additional savings.”
„This option was established during public consultations involving the capital market and relevant stakeholders. The implemented solution fosters trust in this savings system, thereby setting it apart from other retirement savings options,” the Ministry of Finance stated in a release.
