Sweet with plastic fragments. Bunny made of cocoa-milk icing is not for consumption. GIS warning

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has issued a caution regarding a batch of bunnies covered in cocoa-milk icing, due to the potential presence of plastic pieces. The product has been removed from the market.
According to a statement from GIS, they received a consumer complaint concerning a plastic fragment found in a product named Bunny with cocoa-milk icing. „The batch referenced in the statement should not be consumed,” it warned.
„Following the investigation carried out by the State District Sanitary Inspector in Elbląg in collaboration with the product’s manufacturer, damage to the plastic mold utilized for shaping the product was confirmed. Consequently, fragments of plastic may have contaminated the product. This poses a risk for consumers who might accidentally ingest plastic pieces along with the product.”

GIS announced that „the company „Wolność” Sp. z o. o. has informed its customers about the necessity to halt sales and withdraw this product from circulation. „The State Sanitary Inspectorate is working alongside the manufacturer to investigate all aspects of the issue and is overseeing the product withdrawal process,” it stated.
