GIS. Warning about eggs with salmonella

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) has announced the discovery of salmonella bacteria in a specific batch of free-range eggs. „The manufacturer has initiated a product recall process,” the statement indicated.
„Through the official actions of the State Sanitary Inspection, Salmonella spp. was identified in the eggs detailed below. Ingesting a product contaminated with Salmonella bacilli, particularly without adequate cooking, poses a risk of food poisoning,” reported the inspectorate.

The manufacturer is recalling the product
GIS has communicated that the manufacturer INVEST MICHEL, Mariola and Marek Michelis, upon receiving notification of the situation, promptly enacted the procedure to withdraw the affected product from the market.
The Inspectorate observed that the Veterinary Inspection Authorities have commenced an investigation, and the withdrawal of the eggs from the market is being monitored by the State Sanitary Inspection.
„Do not consume the product from the batch mentioned in the notification. If you exhibit symptoms of food poisoning after consuming the aforementioned product, please consult your physician,” the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) advised. They also noted that information regarding salmonella infections is available on the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate’s website.
