PIT 0 for families with two children. The president is preparing a bill.
In the upcoming days, the president’s legislative proposals are anticipated to be presented to the Sejm, including a measure that proposes a zero-income tax for families with at least two children, as announced by Zbigniew Bogucki, who will assume the role of head of the Chancellery for President Karol Nawrocki. The financial implications of this initiative have been assessed.
According to Bogucki, proposals related to the Central Communication Port (CPK) and the matter of farmers concerning the Mercosur agreement are also set to be introduced to the Sejm.
A source from the President’s Chancellery indicated that ready-to-go bills from Nawrocki are likely to be unveiled and submitted to parliament in August.

A promise with a hefty price tag
Based on calculations compiled by Karol Nawrocki and his team, obtained by money.pl, the proposed PIT 0 for families with at least two children would amount to PLN 13 billion. This initiative is one of Nawrocki’s key campaign proposals – it aims to exempt income tax up to the tax threshold for every parent raising a minimum of two children (including minors, children with disabilities, or those in education until the age of 25). „This mirrors the current child tax relief. During the election campaign, this proposal was presented alongside another one, which seeks to raise the tax threshold from PLN 120,000 to PLN 140,000,” the report noted.
It was further mentioned that various calculations have emerged in the public domain, illustrating the costs associated with this solution.

„That’s just not accurate”
„The project is currently being finalized by supporters of Karol Nawrocki. According to information we’ve received, it has been assessed that the PIT 0 tax return for families will impose around PLN 13 billion on the budget,” reported the website money.pl. „Therefore, we should dismiss the narratives claiming that this proposal will cost tens of billions of zlotys. This is simply inaccurate, and PLN 13 billion is not an excessive amount at all,” asserts a source close to the new president.
