Cosmetic warning. GIS: do not use the product
On Friday, the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate issued a warning concerning the contamination of several batches of the CD Softcreme cosmetic – Soft Creme Wasserlilie. „The product mentioned in the notification should not be used,” stated GIS.
GIS reported that it received alerts about the contamination of various batches of cosmetics via the SAFETY GATE system – a swift warning system for hazardous non-food items. This involved exceeding microbiological limits in a cosmetic product.
The alert pertains to the product CD Softcreme – Soft Creme Wasserlilie, a hydrating cream produced by the German company Lornamead GmbH, with the following batch numbers: -24291 281035; -24295 281041; -24292 281041; -24324 281169; -24293 281041; -24325 281169; -24294 281041; -24351 281169.
The notification indicated that the product might be available in Poland. The manufacturer has initiated a process to withdraw the product from the market and from consumers.

The State Sanitary Inspection authorities have acted in accordance with the provided distribution list and are overseeing the market.
„Avoid using the product mentioned in this alert,” cautions GIS in a statement.
„The product is microbiologically tainted with the mesophilic aerobic bacteria Pluralibacter gergoviae. This microorganism may pose a health risk to some consumers, especially those with compromised immune systems,” it clarified.
