They offer „legal, well-paid work”. This is a new method of KSP scammers

CSIRT KNF issues a warning regarding advertisements for fraudulent investments where con artists pose as the Social Insurance Institution.

„Scammers have launched a new pension scheme. Ads created by these cybercriminals on Facebook lead to harmful websites featuring articles designed to lend credibility to the investments and prompt individuals to share their contact information,” stated the Computer Security Incident Response Team of the Polish Financial Sector at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (CSIRT KNF).

„In the subsequent phase of the scam, these criminals reach out to victims to extort money from them. Exercise caution and do not fall for offers of rapid returns in a short period!” the team cautioned on social media.

Alerts about scammers

Recently, cybersecurity specialists have raised alarms about various threats, including fraudulent emails demanding payment for tolls within the e-TOLL system, as well as a new scam involving the use of stolen PESEL numbers to set up bogus third-party liability insurance contracts.
