Product withdrawn from Aldi. „Please return immediately”

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has issued a warning regarding the use of kettles that were available for purchase in Aldi stores. The retail chain has also released a statement concerning this issue.
The Chief Sanitary Inspector received notification via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) regarding the recall of cast iron kettles „due to identified cobalt migration from the kettles to food”.
„Long-term exposure to cobalt could potentially endanger human health,” cautions GIS. It further states that „the products mentioned in the announcement should not come into contact with food.”
GIS reported that the distributor, Aldi, promptly removed the specified products from sale upon receiving this information and notified customers via its website.
