The application process for the ninth round of the „Leap into Dreams” scholarship fund, created and managed by the Monika Pyrek and Persil Foundation, is now underway. In recent years, the former Polish track and field star has provided assistance to many current Polish sports luminaries, including Olympic champion Aleksandra Mirosław. Nearly eighty Polish athletes have benefited from this initiative.

The objective of the fund is to foster the development of young and gifted athletes. „We consistently aim to discover young sports talents who excel in a particular discipline, and then offer them guidance. This assistance is not only financial but also practical,” states Monika Pyrek. The program is available for athletes between the ages of 16 and 25.

The former elite Polish pole vaulter has aided numerous contemporary Polish sports figures in recent times. Included among them are Paris Olympic medalists Aleksandra Mirosław (sport climbing) and Alicja Klasik (fencing), alongside many other Olympians. Beneficiaries of the „Leap into Dreams” fund also represented Poland in Paris, such as athletes Anastazja Kuś, Adrianna Sułek-Schubert, Pia Skrzyszowska, and Oliwier Wdowik, kayaker Katarzyna Szperkiewicz, and weightlifter Weronika Zielińska. The list also features Tokyo Olympians like kayaker Aleksandra Stach and track and field athlete Klaudia Siciarz, as well as Beijing Paralympian Aneta Górska.

Recruitment for the Persil „Leap into Dreams” scholarship fund has commenced

„Scholarship recipients can come from any sport, and our awardees include athletes from track and field, swimming, cycling, kayaking, rowing, gymnastics, and martial arts, as well as competitors from less mainstream disciplines such as finswimming, winter swimming, and teqball. The key elements are enthusiasm, a clear objective, and a passion for the sport. We simply need to be convinced, and at this stage, showcasing ourselves and our ambitions takes precedence over our current athletic achievements,” Monika Pyrek adds.

The fund seeks to provide young athletes with both professional and financial backing. It can also be utilized for educational and developmental endeavors, with many scholarship recipients managing to pursue dual career paths thanks to this support. Numerous athletes have completed instructor training or are exploring alternative career options while remaining committed to their beloved sport.

„I take great pride that this year we successfully secured a partner for the fund: the Persil brand, which runs the „Zawsze Ciebie z sobie” (Always Give Your All) campaign. This perfectly aligns with the mission of our „Leap into Dreams” initiative and is evidence that our foundation, through its extensive efforts, is earning the trust of businesses,” Monika Pyrek remarks.

Applications for the fund can be submitted until August 17th at https://skokwmarzenia.pl. As part of the application process, candidates are required to fill out a straightforward online form to convince the scholarship committee of their eligibility for support. Additionally, they must attach a video showcasing both their introduction and their chosen sport.
