Spar. Online store customer data leak
Following a cyber attack, customer information from the Spar online store has been compromised, according to a company statement. They urged heightened vigilance, particularly regarding calls that request „personal or financial information.”
„We wish to notify you about a violation of personal data protection at WSS Detal Sp. z o. o. located in Poznań (60-476) ul. Druskienicka 12 (Spar online store)” – the announcement stated.

It was clarified that „due to unauthorized access” on May 21, 2025, „your personal details, including your name, surname, phone number, email address, and delivery address, have been exposed.”
„The repercussions of a personal data breach may involve unsolicited phone calls (e.g. telemarketing, attempts at telephone fraud). Please exercise extreme caution if you receive unexpected calls, particularly those related to your personal or financial information,” the company cautioned.
The statement continued that „the company has taken the following measures: – access to IT systems has been secured; – the source of the unauthorized access was identified and blocked; – the incident has been reported to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.”

The company advised in the statement that to mitigate potential consequences: – „disregard unexpected emails and text messages, especially from unfamiliar senders, do not open attachments from unknown sources, or click on links contained within them; – be particularly cautious when receiving calls from unknown numbers and avoid returning the calls; – change all passwords associated with the company’s email address; – consider creating an account in a credit and business information system to monitor your credit activity, for example, BIK Alerts (more information available at http://www.bik.pl/klienci-indywidualni/alerty-bik).”
„If you become aware of any unauthorized use or attempted use of your data, or if you observe any anomalies that may be connected to the breach, please report it as soon as possible and send this information to us at: [email protected],” the chain urged.
