Jarosław Kaczyński's savings are up

In 2024, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński has reported savings exceeding 380 thousand złoty, as indicated in his financial disclosure published on the Sejm website. This marks an increase of more than 40 thousand złoty compared to the previous year.
As per Jarosław Kaczyński’s statement, he earned just over PLN 37,000 from his position in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister last year. In 2023, his income from this source was more than PLN 133.1 thousand.
Furthermore, his parliamentary salary reached over PLN 138.3 thousand (up from PLN 71.1 thousand the prior year). Additionally, he received more than PLN 45.3 thousand in parliamentary allowances.
Kaczyński also received in excess of PLN 132,300 as pension benefits.
The accumulated wealth of the president of Law and Justice
The PiS leader has saved over PLN 380.9 thousand (compared to over PLN 338.9 thousand in 2023).
He also holds a one-third ownership stake in a house that spans 150 square meters, valued at approximately PLN 2.2 million.
Jarosław Kaczyński does not possess shares in any companies nor does he operate a personal business. He has indicated that he has served as the chairman of the Lech Kaczyński Institute Foundation Council since 1997, describing this role as an „honorary position.”
His financial report reveals that Kaczyński does not own a vehicle or any movable assets valued over PLN 10,000.
In his declaration, the PiS leader also mentioned a loan from the Stefczyk Savings and Credit Cooperative, with an outstanding balance of over PLN 45.4 thousand at the end of last year (down from over PLN 54.2 thousand the previous year).
Asset declarations of members of parliament
As stipulated by the Act on the Exercise of the Mandate of a Deputy and Senator, members of parliament are mandated to present a declaration of their financial status. This statement pertains to both personal and marital community property.
The declaration encompasses details about financial resources, real estate, involvement in civil or commercial partnerships, shares and stocks in businesses, as well as information regarding business activities and positions held in commercial entities.
Additionally, it includes income from employment or other gainful activities, movable property valued over PLN 10,000, and monetary liabilities exceeding PLN 10,000, including loans and credits.
In accordance with the Act, the financial standing declaration must be submitted to the Speaker of the Sejm or the Speaker of the Senate when taking the oath and by April 30 each year, reflecting the status as of December 31 of the previous year, as well as within one month following any new elections to the Sejm and Senate.
The information contained within the asset declaration is public, with the exception of the home addresses of Members of Parliament or Senators and the locations of real estate.
