The bankruptcy of the Marwit company. The second attempt to sell the assets.
They have been operating in the market since 1993. Currently, the assets of the well-known national company are up for sale. This involves Marwit, which has been in bankruptcy proceedings since 2021. As reported by the industry portal dlahandlu.pl, two properties with a total value of PLN 28 million are available for purchase.
This marks another chapter in the fall of Marwit. The two properties have been listed for sale, and the transaction is contingent upon submitting an offer for both sites.
The first property is situated in Złajewie Wielka, spans an area of 3 hectares, and has a starting price of PLN 4.4 million net. The second property, part of the bankruptcy estate of Marwit Foods (which operated through two companies), covers an area of 4.97 hectares, with a minimum price set at PLN 23.7 million.
The downfall of the Marwit company
Marwit halted its operations in 2020 due to challenges faced during the pandemic. The company specialized in freshly squeezed juices, which saw a decline in sales as many individuals began working remotely. When the court declared the bankruptcy of two Marwit entities in July 2021, their total debts amounted to PLN 183 million.

„Offers for MARWIT Sp. z o. o. must not be below PLN 9.14 million, and for MARWIT FOODS Sp. z o. o. they cannot be less than PLN 26 million. The overall valuation was estimated at PLN 35.21 million,” the industry portal notes.
