Bicycle company 7Anna, known for its Rondo and NS Bikes brands, files for bankruptcy

The bicycle firm 7Anna, recognized for its Rondo and NS Bikes brands, has entered bankruptcy proceedings. The company stated in a commentary for tvn24.pl that this is strictly a procedural move dictated by legal requirements and its challenging financial state. „This filing does not signify the end of our operations or the discontinuation of our brands,” reassures Szymon Kobyliński, co-founder of 7Anna and the guitarist and vocalist of the well-known band Blenders.
Established in 2001, 7Anna filed for bankruptcy last week after nearly 25 years in operation. In response to inquiries from tvn24.pl, the company clarified that this is a formal action that does not indicate the cessation of its activities or the abandonment of its brands.
„The company continues to operate – including sales, service, and customer support – without any changes. Stores, services, and warranties are functioning normally . We are currently engaged in discussions with investors and preparing reorganization efforts aimed at reinforcing the company and ensuring the continuity of the Rondo, NS Bikes, and Creme brands.
The organization explains that its financial struggles are „the consequence of a series of unfavorable events in recent years” – including the bankruptcies of key partners, delays in financing, and losses incurred due to cybercrime. All these factors have placed „excessive pressure on financial liquidity.”

„The filing does not equate to the cessation of business activities”
Szymon Kobyliński, co-founder of 7Anna and guitarist and vocalist of the popular band Blenders, also released a statement regarding the company’s current situation. In a letter addressed to customers and cycling enthusiasts, he assured them that the company is not halting its operations.
„A bankruptcy petition has been submitted, and in light of the media buzz surrounding this issue, we want to clarify that such a petition does not mean the end of operations or the discontinuation of our brands. Anyone can submit such a petition – in this instance, the Management Board of 7Anna did so in accordance with legal obligations,” he stated.
„The company is functioning as usual. We are servicing bicycles, selling them, and even launching new models on a daily basis. (…) We are persistently in discussions with significant investors and we are very optimistic that these efforts will yield positive results – then the entire company will be able to carry on. We may even shift into fifth gear,” he added.
Bankruptcies, delays, cyberattacks
Kobyliński recounts how the past few years have posed exceptional challenges for the company. Issues began a year and a half ago when the company’s largest client, responsible for bicycle sales in Western Europe, declared bankruptcy. This was followed by complications with the bank, which withheld funding from partners, consequently delaying bicycle shipments.
„Another setback was the bankruptcy of one of our major suppliers – as a result, we entered the season once again without our top bicycles. Shortly after, hackers managed to steal a considerable amount by diverting a transfer from our client to a fraudulent account in Portugal. Just two weeks later, our largest client received a significant shipment of bicycles but failed to pay for it and also canceled the contract for future deliveries. All of this happened simultaneously with the date we were obligated to repay our bank loan,” emphasizes the company’s co-founder.
„We couldn’t endure such numerous setbacks at once, and we require assistance and time to reorganize,” he concluded.
