Trains from Prague to Warsaw. Czech rail carrier Leo Express announces new route

Since 2018, Leo Express has been transporting passengers along the Prague-Kraków route. Beginning on March 1, 2026, the Czech rail operator will expand its services to include a route from Prague to Warsaw, operating twice daily.
As noted by Leo Express CEO Peter Koehler, the company has been active in the Polish rail transport sector for nearly a decade, making it an ideal time to broaden its reach and challenge the monopoly on the Warsaw-Kraków route and beyond to Prague.

„We believe that increasing competition in the railway sector is necessary, and after 10 years of fostering loyalty among our customers between Krakow and Prague, now is the right time to extend our services to Warsaw,” Koehler remarked.
He stated that direct train services linking Warsaw and Krakow, which will subsequently continue to Prague, are set to commence on March 1st of the upcoming year. This route will feature two daily train services. Concurrently, the frequency of trains on the Krakow-Prague route will be boosted to four services per day.
The operator has already initiated ticket sales for these new connections.
