Maple Cream Cookies Recalled. GIS Warning
The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has issued a warning regarding cream cookies. The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has stated that the distributor has opted to recall three batches of the product due to insufficient allergen information on the packaging.
„The Chief Sanitary Inspector has been made aware that, following a consumer complaint, VIANDS Sp. z o. o. has chosen to voluntarily withdraw three batches of maple cookies due to the absence of allergen information in Polish related to soy and the potential presence of milk and eggs,” the inspectorate reported.

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) announced that Viands „immediately after learning about the identified non-compliance, took action to remove the product from the market and implemented corrective measures.” „The company created a suitable label, considering the presence of soy and the possible presence of milk and eggs,” the Sanitary Inspectorate (Sanepid) disclosed.
„The State Sanitary Inspection authorities are collaborating with the company and overseeing the process of product withdrawal from the market,” the press release indicated.
The Inspectorate highlighted that individuals with allergies to soy, milk, or eggs should refrain from consuming the product batch mentioned in the notice. „Consumption of this product by individuals allergic to soy protein, as well as to components of milk or eggs, may lead to an allergic reaction,” it clarified.
