ZUS Method. Warning

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) issues a warning about con artists posing as representatives of the organization and dispatching fraudulent emails. ZUS highlighted that authentic communications always include the full name of the employee.
As per ZUS, the scammers are sending emails under the name „zus-pl”. The message details include the address „[email protected]”. Within the content, they request that the recipient update their information due to an issue with payment processing.

„Clicking on the provided link leads to the ezus login page, which has the URL 'prowebdigital.com.ng’. Once logged in, a window prompts for credit card information,” it states. ZUS reminded that they only reach out to clients who have registered on the Electronic Services Platform and have opted for this method of communication. The email will always feature the first and last name of a ZUS employee. – The Social Insurance Institution reiterated that ZUS does not send emails requesting credit card numbers or incorrect logins to PUE ZUS, encouraging users to click on files or links, said ZUS spokesperson Wojciech Dąbrówka, as quoted in the announcement.

ZUS urged individuals not to respond to emails or open attachments from con artists. „Such correspondence is typically designed to compromise a computer or obtain access to sensitive information stored within it,” he stressed. ZUS advised that if there are any uncertainties regarding the sender of the email, clients should reach out to the nearest ZUS branch or contact the ZUS Call Center at the number: 22-560-16-00 or via email at [email protected].
