The Ministry of Development and Technology is being liquidated. Krzysztof Paszyk is leaving the government.
In the context of the government’s reshuffle, a new Ministry of Economy and Finance has been formed, which will be led by Andrzej Domański. He assumes the duties of the dissolved Ministry of Development and Technology, previously directed by Krzysztof Paszyk.
On Wednesday, at a press briefing, Prime Minister Donald Tusk revealed the alterations within the government following the restructuring.

With this restructuring, a new ministry will manage economic and financial affairs. It will be under the leadership of the incumbent Minister of Finance, Andrzej Domański. This new ministry will result in the termination of the existing Ministry of Development and Technology, which was managed by Krzysztof Paszyk (PSL).
In a message posted on platform X, Paszyk expressed that „times evolve, ministry names change, but cherished memories endure.”
„I want to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, my fellow government members, and my team. As one chapter closes, another begins… further details will follow,” Paszyk stated.

Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Polish People’s Party (PSL) Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz commented on this transition, stating: „I believe it’s essential that this is executed in a manner that is justified and relevant to the emerging challenges.”
He remarked, „shifts within a team engaged in a match are commonplace—some players exit the field, even those who score goals.” – If substitutions are made, even Ronaldo leaves the pitch, making way for those tasked with specific roles in the team,” he assessed.
Ministry of Development and Technology
The Ministry of Development and Technology has been functioning since August 2021. It oversees economy, construction, spatial planning and development, as well as housing.
On June 27 this year, a proposal was presented to the Sejm, indicating that spending on social housing this year should reach at least PLN 2.5 billion.
This pertains to the draft legislation amending the act regarding social housing development and several other laws, which was approved by the government in March this year and submitted by the Minister of Development and Technology.
The initiative anticipates that by 2025, the government will allocate no less than PLN 2.5 billion to bolster social and municipal housing, facilitating the financing of up to 15,000 social apartments for affordable rental this year.
The Ministry is also engaged in developing a new investment package aimed at attracting external investors, particularly in high-tech industries.
Additionally, the Ministry of Development and Technology was tasked with executing the government’s space policy, which includes the IGNIS mission, with Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski as a member.
