Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa is looking for a CEO. Here are the conditions

The Supervisory Board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa has declared a search for a new president following Krzysztof Trofiniak’s resignation. Applicants must possess a minimum of three years’ experience in management or independent roles, alongside familiarity with the group’s operations.
On April 2, the former President of PGZ, Krzysztof Trofiniak, stepped down from his role. In the weeks leading up to his resignation announcement, media outlets speculated about his potential departure, indicating that the Ministry of National Defense aimed to remove him due to delays in the production of 155 mm ammunition, which is vital for heavy artillery.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz commented in mid-March that the „bottleneck” hindering investments in the arms sector and the modernization of the armed forces is the ability of companies to carry out these investments and boost production. When questioned about the evaluation of collaboration between the Ministry of National Defense and the Polish Armaments Group, as well as the rumors surrounding Trofiniak’s potential resignation, he noted that the PGZ board had only been in operation for a brief period, had accomplished significant progress, but still had more to achieve.
He further asserted that the claim regarding the Ministry of National Defense pushing for the resignation of PGZ’s president is inaccurate. The Ministry of National Defense – as he stated – „pressures for punctual deliveries, and not all PGZ facilities meet these timeliness requirements,” and is also advocating for „a contract for a Polonized version of the K2 tank,” which remains unfulfilled to date.
Recruitment for the PGZ president
On April 4, the Supervisory Board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa resolved to initiate a competition for the role of president of the management board of PGZ. In the interim, Arkadiusz Bąk, a board member, has been assigned to carry out the president’s responsibilities.
The announcement regarding the commencement of the qualification process for the President of the Management Board of PGZ detailed the criteria for candidates seeking the position. These criteria include: a higher education degree; a minimum of 5 years of employment or self-employment experience; at least 3 years in managerial or independent positions, or experience gained from managing one’s own business; full legal capacity; no restrictions on holding positions on the management board of a commercial law company; and familiarity with the scope of the company’s operations as well as the sector it operates within.
A candidate must not be someone employed in the office of a Member of Parliament, Senator, or Member of the European Parliament, nor a member of a political party’s governing body, nor employed by a political party, or engaged in activities that could lead to a conflict of interest concerning the company’s operations.
Applications from candidates will be accepted until April 17 at 4 p.m.
