Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the economy. „Let's not waste it”

The economy is gaining momentum. Analysts concurred that retail sales would rise by just over 3 percent, but we have achieved 7.6 percent – this is how Prime Minister Donald Tusk reacted to the data released by the Central Statistical Office (GUS).
– The surge in retail sales is truly unprecedented, historic – remarked Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Monday. He believes this indicates that „we are advancing very rapidly”.
„This is no longer just a signal”
– Some may argue that this is merely statistics, yet it serves as an extraordinary signal regarding the state of our economy. All experts anticipated retail sales to rise by 3-3.2 percent. However, the Central Statistical Office disclosed that this increase is remarkably record-breaking and historical. A 7.6 percent rise in retail sales – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press briefing in Sławków on Monday.
He continued: – This is no longer just a signal; it is information indicating that we are making significant progress. We have ample reasons to feel optimistic about economic growth.
The Prime Minister also shared his thoughts on social media. „The economy is gaining momentum! Analysts agreed that retail sales would rise slightly above 3%, and we have reached 7.6%,” he emphasized.
He further urged: „Let’s not squander this opportunity.”
