TEDi Recalls Product Warning Regarding Slotted Spoon
The slotted spoon has been found to release substances that could represent a health hazard, thus it should not be used for food contact, cautions the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS). The item is being withdrawn from TEDi outlets across Poland.
The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) received a notification via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) concerning the transfer of primary aromatic amines from the product into food. It highlighted that these substances might pose threats to human health and should not be found in food items.

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) emphasized that the product mentioned in the notification should not be utilized for food contact. It noted that „TEDi Sieć Handlowa Sp. z o. o. promptly upon receiving the alert, prepared and disseminated information concerning the recall of the product from the sales floor in all TEDi stores in Poland.”
Product returns are accepted
A decision has been made to display „Information for Customers” on the notice boards regarding the potential risks associated with the product and the option to return the purchased item.
GIS also mentioned that the State Sanitary Inspection authorities are currently conducting an investigation into this issue.
„You may return the aforementioned product or exchange it for another of equal value for PLN 8.50 at any TEDi location,” the chain indicated on its website.
