Export hits from Poland

When vacationing abroad, encountering products from Poland is quite common. Store shelves are filled with Polish apples, beer, and ice cream, according to „Rzeczpospolita”.
The publication highlights that „the list of popular exports during holidays is extensive, and the likelihood of finding a Polish product abroad, particularly while on vacation, is notably high.”
Popular Exports from Poland
Poland stands as the second-largest apple exporter in Europe, with sales reaching countries like Egypt and India.
„Simultaneously, we hold the fifth position globally in ice cream exports, surpassing Italy, and Polish beers, especially non-alcoholic varieties, are distributed across various markets. Poland is also among the top five in the yacht and sunshade industries,” according to information from the International Trade Center and the Akcenta payment institution, which was first reported by „Rzeczpospolita”.
Growth in Ice Cream Exports
The newspaper notes that last year, the export of Polish ice cream rose by 17 percent year-over-year, mirroring the growth in apple exports. Additionally, foreign sales of campers increased by one-fifth, and parasols saw a 16 percent rise.
Data from the International Trade Center indicates that in 2024, Poland exported 117 thousand tons of ice cream valued at 404.5 million euros. „This achievement secured Poland the fifth position in the global ice cream market, accounting for a 7% share in world exports,” the report states.
The article reveals that apples are also a significant agricultural export product. Last year, Poland exported nearly 785 thousand tons of apples valued at 471 million euros, reflecting a 17 percent increase compared to the previous year. Poland retains its second position among apple exporters in Europe and ranks seventh globally, holding a 7 percent share of the international market.
On the other hand, camper exports reached 36.4 million euros in 2024, with Denmark alone importing vehicles worth 14.5 million euros.
„The export of sunshades presents an intriguing detail. According to ITC data, goods valued at 60.4 million euros were exported, marking a 16% year-on-year increase. This performance places us fourth among global exporters and third in Europe. One in three umbrellas intended for export was sent to Germany,” the article concludes.
