The ministry further reported that, based on preliminary figures, there were 804.5 thousand registered unemployed individuals at labor offices by the end of April 2025. This indicates a reduction of over 25 thousand compared to the prior month, while there was an increase of more than 7 thousand people year-on-year.

„As per the latest Eurostat statistics, Poland stood in 2nd place among EU nations for unemployment rate in March 2025, recorded at 2.7%. This marks a minor rise from February 2025’s rate of 2.6%. In March of this year, the number of unemployed was 473 thousand, up from 469 thousand the previous month. Only the Czech Republic had a lower unemployment rate at 2.6%,” MRPiPS highlighted.

The ministry also clarified that the disparities in unemployment figures reported by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy and Eurostat arise from differences in methodologies.
