Presenting the winner of the TVN24 BiS Entrepreneur of the Year competition

Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board and co-owner of Adamed Pharma, has emerged as the victor in the 22nd edition of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 competition. Adamkiewicz will represent Poland in the international finals of the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 competition.

Małgorzata Adamkiewicz was also recognized in the the Production and Services category.

In the New Business category, Kacper Pupin and Grzegorz Gawroński from Redegate were the winners.

In the New Technologies/Innovation category, the awardees are Rafał Młodzki, Marcin Młodzki, and Tomasz Młodzki, who are the founders of PhotoAiD.

The Jury also awarded Special Awards to: Patrycja Strzelecka, co-founder of Cash Director; Magdalena Kwiatkiewicz, co-founder of YES Biżuteria; and Władysław Grochowski, co-founder of Arche.

– The winners were chosen by a Jury independent from EY, composed mainly of entrepreneurs and past winners. To effectively relay each participant’s story to the Jurors, our representatives conduct interviews with the candidate entrepreneurs. Main category winners

This year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 winner, Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, garnered the jury’s acclaim for „creating a Polish leader in a strategic sector, which, while being a family business, evolved into a global organization.”

Małgorzata Adamkiewicz also achieved victory in the Production and Services category for her „daily influence on the lives of millions.”

The entrepreneur will represent our nation at the international finals of the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 competition, contending for the title of best entrepreneur globally against winners from almost 60 countries.

– Małgorzata Adamkiewicz demonstrates that for Polish entrepreneurs, nothing is unattainable, even in a strategic industry characterized by intense competition. The innovation and success of this year’s winner, along with the other awardees of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition, illustrate that Polish firms possess the capability to effectively transform our economy, ensuring continued growth – stated Jacek Kędzior, Managing Partner of EY Poland, as quoted in the press release.

In the New Technologies/Innovation category, the winners Rafał Młodzki, Marcin Młodzki, and Tomasz Młodzki were recognized for „attracting clients worldwide by bringing the photo booth to mobile devices.”

„PhotoAiD is a biometric photography application that enables users to capture images of over 10,000 documents, including passports and ID cards, using their smartphones. Artificial intelligence simplifies compliance with the requirements. The application is accessible in more than 150 countries and is utilized by millions,” the release states.

The award in the New Business category was presented to Kacper Pupin and Grzegorz Gawroński from Redegate for „a daring initiative to alter the rules of the labor market.”

„Redegate.com is the first and only marketplace platform in Poland that facilitates collaboration between external leading experts – seasoned interim managers, project managers, and industry specialists working as independent freelancers across various disciplines with companies,” it was explained.

Recipients of special awards

The Special Award for „establishing an ecosystem within the financial market that aids micro and small businesses” was awarded to Patrycja Strzelecka, co-founder of CashDirector.
