IKEA recalls several products. Warning

IKEA has urged customers who have purchased specific garlands or LED lamps to cease using these items immediately and reach out to the retailer. „The plug installed in these products does not conform to safety regulations and could present a risk of electric shock,” the retailer stated in an announcement.
„Safety is our top priority at IKEA. We are recalling certain LED garlands and LED lamps from the LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA, SVARTRÅ, and UTSUND collections because the plug used does not meet safety criteria and may pose a risk of electric shock,” IKEA mentioned.
The retailer emphasized that the items „are subjected to risk assessment and thorough testing during their development.” „However, we have received reports indicating that due to a manufacturing flaw, a particular type of plug utilized in the specified products does not align with safety standards regarding resistance to water ingress,” the announcement continued.
