PKO BP has issued a cautionary notice regarding fraudsters impersonating the bank. „Clicking on the link may lead to loss of funds and control over your account,” the statement warns.

PKO BP alerts users to counterfeit emails with the subject: „We would like to inform you that the security certificate is associated with your IPKO online banking account.”

„You risk losing your money and access to your account”

„The sender address features a fraudulent address claiming to be from IPKO BANK . We are not responsible for these messages,” the bank emphasizes in its communication. The email includes a link to a phishing website, where cybercriminals may harvest personal information and steal funds.

„Avoid clicking on any links in such communications. If you do, you may jeopardize your finances and access to your account,” PKO BP urges.

PKO BP encourages its customers to exercise caution and reminds them that emails and text messages from the bank do not include links. „Always verify the website address carefully before logging into the service,” the bank advised.

The notice also highlighted that links to counterfeit sites may be found in search engine advertisements and can show up as regular search results.

PKO BP stands as the largest bank in Poland, serving approximately 12 million clients, with total assets surpassing PLN 500 billion.
