Stilo Energy files for bankruptcy and submits restructuring plan

Stilo Energy, a firm focused on photovoltaic panel installations, has declared bankruptcy. Concurrently, the management is unveiling a new plan for restructuring.
According to the company’s press announcement, the bankruptcy petition „will take effect in the event of a possible failure to successfully conclude the new restructuring process.”
Stilo Energy’s Issues
Initial reports regarding the company’s difficulties and the necessity for changes surfaced in 2022. „One of the leading installers of residential photovoltaics is seeking restructuring and an agreement with creditors,” stated the WysokieNapięcie portal about the company.
The analysis suggested that the motivation behind this decision was the introduction of net-billing in Poland, which is a less favorable and more complex support framework for new prosumers compared to the previous discount model.
Stilo Energy
Stilo Energy provides services for the installation of photovoltaic systems. It made its debut on NewConnect in April 2021.
The company’s website indicated that Stilo Energy put forward new proposals for arrangements on April 29, 2024, allowing it to maintain its business activities. „An alternative to accepting the arrangement is bankruptcy proceedings, which would lead to diminished satisfaction for creditors due to the cessation of business operations,” it was stated.
On October 22, 2024, the company received a judicial ruling to nullify the arrangement, prompting Stilo Energy to file an appeal. In February 2025, the appeal was rejected.
