Rossmann. Two product batches withdrawn

The Rossmann pharmacy chain has declared the withdrawal of two product batches from its shelves. These include chia seeds and flower pollen. The notices indicate that „contamination” was found in one product, while „the presence of deceased bees” was noted in the other.
The Rossmann store chain has released two notifications for its customers. One indicated that „following an inspection, the State Sanitary Inspectorate detected the presence of plant-origin contamination in Chia seeds from supplier Eko Ziarna Sp. z o. o., marketed by Joyfood Sp. z o. o.”
In the second notice, Rossmann stated that „the State Sanitary Inspection discovered dead bees and their fragments in the flower pollen produced by Sądecki Bartnik, sold by Joyfood Sp. z o. o.”
Rossmann recalls batches of two products
„We are taking this situation very seriously. We have directed our suppliers to implement measures to reduce the occurrence of foreign bodies in the raw material. As part of the corrective actions, a recall process has been initiated, and the recipients of the affected products have been notified,” both press releases stated.
The chain urged customers who have purchased specific batches of these products not to consume them and to return them to the nearest Rossmann location for a refund. „No proof of purchase (receipt) is necessary,” it added.
