There is a new president of the Industrial Development Agency

Wojciech Balczun has been appointed the new president of the Industrial Development Agency, as announced on the ARP website. Additionally, it was reported that the Agency has introduced four new vice presidents.
According to the press release, the new vice-presidents include Ilona Deręgowska, Radosław Niedzielski, Łukasz Kotapski, and Krzysztof Telega.
In early February 2025, the Supervisory Board of the Industrial Development Agency removed Michał Dąbrowski from the president’s role and initiated a selection process for the new president and vice-presidents of the organization.

Who is Wojciech Balczun?
„Wojciech Balczun is a seasoned executive with a solid reputation in the transportation and banking sectors, focusing on corporate restructuring and international commerce,” the ARP website stated.
„He has held the position of president of the management board for both PKP Cargo and Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways). He earned his degree in political science from the University of Silesia in Katowice and has completed postgraduate MBA studies at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University,” it further noted.

Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu SA (ARP SA) is a state-owned enterprise established in 1991, functioning within the Polish Development Fund Group. ARP is a joint-stock company that operates under the supervision of the Prime Minister, with the State Treasury holding a 100% stake.
It assists businesses in managing and expanding their operations, as well as in executing restructuring initiatives.
